- Colin Jones Review added: 2018.05.03★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆UPDATE: We went back to Hopton in March this year (2017) - unfortunately we had numerous issues with the electric going off in our caravan due to a faulty kettle being provided.
The other big disappointment was the cooked breakfast we had in the ‘Boardwalk’ café on the Monday morning – it wasn’t cheap at £7.99 each for the adults, and to be polite the scramble egg was simply disgusting, the small bit that I did try was like eating a piece of soft yellow rubber! When I mentioned it to the waitress who cleared our plates, she said it wasn’t the first time people had complained about the scramble egg. Another big draw for going on a Monday morning for a cooked breakfast is the ‘character breakfasts’ – my daughters loves meeting the characters and having a cuddle with Anxious the elephant and Polly. All the staff in the restaurant assured us the character breakfast was on when we ordered the breakfast, however to my daughters disappointment they didn’t turn up and was told as we were leaving they had changed it and no longer do the character breakfast on a Monday! Really annoying!!
Due to the issues with the caravan and the breakfast am not sure I'll be rushing back to Hopton next year.......

We have been to Hopton many times over the last few years - my daughter (now aged 9) loves it! In My opinion it is one of the best Haven parks there is! The entertainment is really good and the 'Funstars' put on a good show for the kids. The recently refurbished restaurant is good, if a little pricey and swimming pool is great but could be bigger! The beach is also really lovely and a fantastic place for walking the dog early in the morning. Can't wait to go back there!
